Maintenance Lead

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This is a skilled position working to assist with the supervision to control the workflow of the Maintenance Department with repairs and maintenance. The essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
Guides co-workers in the correct procedures and techniques to safely produce T-12 insulation; discusses deficiencies and challenges with maintenance supervisor.
Daily set up of job duties for mechanics.
Assists with set up of schedule for mold changes.
Assists other mechanics with problem solving.
Troubleshooting by use of testing equipment and other measuring techniques.
Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts using hand and power tools.
Make adjustments to functional parts of equipment and control systems.
Manage downtime by coordinating with production department personnel on routine preventative and predictive maintenance techniques.
Fabricate repair parts using shop equipment (welding equipment, cutting equipment, machine tools)
Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
Conserve resources by the efficient use of equipment and supplies needed to achieve results.
Run test on boiler and inspect sewer system, CO2 House, and Air Compressors.
Always use safe work practices, follows all safety rules and procedures, immediately reports any hazardous conditions, and fully participate in safety programs.
Perform safety observations and complete training assignments.
Wears all personal protective equipment as required by management, including but not limited to all or some of the following; protective shoes, glasses, ear plugs, bump cap or hard hat, gloves, dust mask or respirator.
Regular attendance is required.
Responsible for operating in conformance with the ISO certification held by the Fruita facility
Performs other duties as directed
Supervisory Responsibilities
Assists in supervising employees in the Maintenance Department. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; address complaints and resolving problems.
Education and/or Experience and Skills
One year certificate from college or technical school; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Mechanic license or equivalent work experience
Welding certificate or equivalent work experience
Lathe certificate or equivalent work experience
Forklift, Diesel Mechanic certificates or equivalent work experience
Machinist certificate or equivalent work experience
Hydraulics & Boiler certificate or equivalent work experience

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
