Essential Functions:
1Collects blood samples ensuring proper patient identification and labeling of samples2Reliable and punctual attendance is essential; expected to be at job as scheduled each scheduled day3Communicate necessary information to others as appropriate4Collection of blood from surrounding nursing facilities5Follows hospital policies and procedures for transporting/delivering samples from offices to the laboratory6Maintains strict quality control for procedures7Provides age and culturally appropriate care8Maintains needed equipment and supplies9Orients and mentors new staff members and students10Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required11Along with patient collection and obtaining specimens for processing, you'll pack, ship and prepare specimens to be sent to references labs12Provide additional help in other areas of the laboratory including answering phones and general customer service 13Ability to float to Hospital, Redlands or Fruita office draw station for coverage as needed14Ability to perform work that requires occasional stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, climbing, overhead lifting, Frequent standing, walking, lifting, grasping and repetitive motion, lifting up to 50 pounds15Competently operate Laboratory Information System (LIS) EDUCATION, LICENSE, CERTIFICATION and
Experience:
1Education High School Diploma or equivalent preferred2Licenses No Professional License required3Certifications Phlebotomy Certification from an accredited agency (exASCP) preferred4Experience 1 year related experience requiredExperienced with pediatric blood collection requiredCompletion of and approved phlebotomy training course (or equivalent) Wage Range $17.50-$23.52Positionopen until filledImmunizations required foremployment, including COVID-19.
