Essential Functions:
Reliable and punctual attendance is essential; expected to be at job as scheduled each scheduled day.
Communicate necessary information to others as appropriate.
Responsible for opening up the clinic, which includes but not limited to unlocking the front doors, setting up the front desk, and rolling the phones to begin the day.
Accountable for managing incoming prescriptions by entering into the EMR, requesting expired prescriptions for new evals and yearly renewals, while ensuring all prescriptions are active, requesting new prescriptions from physicians prior to them expiring.
Calculates and ensure co-pays are collected at the time of service.
Accountable for entering all therapist schedules into Webpt, cancelling and moving employees Responsible for ensuring all patients were checked out or removed from the schedule from the previous day.
Ensures all reminder calls were successfully inputted in EHR and ensures new patients are contacted the day before scheduled appointment.
Confirms therapists have faxed progress notes to attending physicians for signature and ensures notes are received from physician's office within 28 days.
Ensures all medical records received are scanned into patient's charts in a timely and efficient manner.
Responsible for closing the front office, locking up all PHI, and drawers that may contain PHI or money collected during business hours.
Prints daily payment log at the end of the day, ensuring all payments entered in HER match the payment log and locking payment log with payments in red bag to be collected the following morning.
Ensures Prior Authorization is notified of a new patient being scheduled, ensuring prior authorization is obtained prior to patient being seen in the clinic.
Accountable for confirming faxes went through that were sent via EHR.
Responsible for removing patients from the system when discharged, confirming discharge notifications were sent to attending physician.
Follow-ups, with patients regarding status, when patient has not been seen in the clinic either discharging patient or getting the patient on the schedule to be seen.
Ensures all incoming referrals are entered in the EHR system used by the hospital, confirming information is transferred the EHR therapy staff use.
Other job related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
1.
Education High school diploma or equivalent required.

Licenses No professional license required.
3.
Certifications No certification required.
4.
Experience Two (2) years' experience in the medical field, and a minimum of one year experience working with insurance companies preferred.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
