Communicate necessary information to others as appropriate.
Oversight of day to day operations of Transportation Department and Staff.
Ensure proper coordination of drivers, vehicles, medical appointments, special trips, and public passengers.
Utilize effective dispatching logic in prioritizing tasks and dispatching assignments to the appropriate personnel.
As required, will assist in coordinating patient transport activities and services with other departments.
Function as a liaison between patient/resident transportation and other departments.
Interact with nursing and other support departments to ensure the quality and timely delivery of service to patients/residents, physicians, visitors and staff.
Ensure proper operation of all transportation related software programs and systems.
Maintain a safe, healthy and orderly work environment to ensure dispatch equipment is in good, clean working condition.
Recommend and participate in the solutions of on-going problems or trends regarding patient/resident transport.
Develop and promote positive effective customer service relations with patients/residents, family members, visitors and staff.
Communicate with the AVP of Support Services of regular activities, needs and/or concerns.
Provide statistical ridership information for administrative, operational, and regulatory purposes.
Provide associated reports upon request.
Maintain department files and records, including those of a confidential nature.
Perform the duties of a Transportation Driver and/or Transportation Aide as needed.
Participate with other transportation staff in on-call coverage as needed.
Coordinate after-hours non-emergency transportation services as needed.
Inspect Family Health West owned vehicles on a routine basis for safety issues and cleanliness.
Assist with researching vehicles prior to purchase to assure the vehicle is the right fit for the program.
Update current Transportation Department policies and procedures as appropriate and submit to VP of Support Services for approval.
Current Colorado Drivers License required.
Colorado Commercial Drivers License (CDL) preferred.
Proof of current personal automobile insurance required.
WAGE RANGE The wage range for this position is $15.
00 - $20.
